Man Hits Concrete Barrier, Dies
Just before 1:00 am on Monday, February 3rd, an adult male estimated to be in his late 20s lost control of his Kia while traveling southbound at a very high rate of speed on Spence Road and slammed head-on into the concrete barrier which marks that road’s tee-intersection with Aldine Bender Road in north Houston. The victim was instantly killed in the impact. HPD officers on the scene confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the tragedy. Investigation of the collision continues and will include routine autopsy tests to determine if alcohol or drugs or some sort of medical impairment was involved. The intersection was closed for a couple of hours to allow the officers to complete their on-site investigation, clear wreckage and remove the victim’s remains.
