Drunk Driver Hits Cop Car at another Drunk’s Wreck
Submitted by Alton-Todd on
In the early morning of Monday, May 17th, a suspected intoxicated driver hit a retention wall in the main lanes of Highway 290 in the Jersey Village area of west Harris County. A cruiser dispatched to that wreck was parking behind the crashed vehicle with its lights flashing when another drunk driver came along and plowed into the cruiser’s rear end. Additional Harris County’s Sheriff’s deputies arrived to arrest the second drunk driver while the Jersey Village Police officers finished arresting the first. Neither the officers nor the second drunk were injured, but the first drunk was and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
