Red Light Crash Injures Two
At about 10:00 pm on Wednesday, July 26th, a private ambulance headed northbound on the feeder road of the Southwest Freeway was hit broadside in the intersection with Bellaire Boulevard by a westbound pickup with such force that the ambulance was knocked onto its side. There was no patient in the ambulance, but both drivers were seriously injured and taken by ambulance to an area hospital. According to HPD officers on the scene, both drivers claimed to have had a green light, so investigation continues as to which vehicle actually did.
