Man Drowns at Private Pool Party
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 30th, a 44-year-old man attending a small pool party at a residence in the 700 block of Misty Lea Lane in the Summerwood area of Harris County drowned in the home’s swimming pool. According to responding Harris County Sheriff’s deputies on the scene, one of the other guests noticed the victim resting motionless on the pool’s deep end bottom. He was brought out of the water and CPR was administered, but those efforts proved unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene. All those gathered at the party remained at the scene and were cooperative with the deputies. No foul play is suspected and further investigation will include an autopsy to determine if alcohol was involved or whether the man might have suffered some sort of acute medical problem or hit his head rendering him unconscious in the water.
