HPD SUV Flips, Officers Unhurt
At about 3:30 am on Wednesday, September 16th, 2 HPD officers on patrol in a marked Chevy Tahoe SUV began following a suspicious vehicle on Woodfair near Club Creek in southwest Houston when the vehicle being followed suddenly accelerated and tried to flee. The officers’ SUV gave chase, but, at a sharp corner, the SUV’s front wheel hit a curb and it flipped onto its roof and skidded on a grassy space until running into a metal fence. The fleeing vehicle got away. The two officers in the overturned SUV were fortunately unhurt.
