Curvy Road Crash Kills 3, Injures 1

At about 2:00 am on Thursday, March 6th, the driver of an older model sedan failed to negotiate a sharp curve in the 12700 block of Aqueduct near Lake Houston in the Sheldon area of far north Harris County and the vehicle left the road at a high rate of speed and slammed into a tree. The badly damaged wreckage trapped three passengers - two died before they could be freed and the third died a short while later on the way to an area hospital. The driver was Life Flighted in critical condition to that same hospital and did not survive. Harris County Sheriff’s deputies on the scene reported they are yet unsure what caused the tragic crash, and their investigation continues. No other vehicles were involved. Deputies reported that this road has several sharp curves and dead ends into Lake Houston Parkway where drivers are forced to make a 90-degree turn either right or left.
