The driver and a 16-year-old boy were thrown from the vehicle as it crashed. Two other teen boys, ages 12 and 13, were pinned in the wreckage. The driver was killed and the oldest teen was Life Flighted to an area hospital in critical condition. The two younger teens were freed from the crashed vehicle and taken by ambulance to the same hospital in serious condition. A preliminary report indicated that the teens were brothers and that the deceased victim was their mother’s husband or boyfriend. Investigation of the incident by Harris County Sheriff’s deputies continues and will include autopsy toxicology tests to determine if alcohol played a role.
