3-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Pool
During the afternoon of Sunday, June 2nd, a family residing at The Enclave at Woodridge Apartments in Sugar Land went swimming at the complex’s pool. At about 4:00 pm, the family intended to go eat and a family member took the floaties off their three-year-old boy. However, the child was then left unattended and he sat back down beside the pool where he somehow fell in. No one had apparently noticed that he was absent for a few minutes, until he was observed floating inert in the water. Arriving paramedics performed CPR on the small boy while he was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival. Sugar Land Police are continuing to investigate the incident and criminal charges may be issued.
If you have children under the age of 10, you have a legal, moral, ethical and love-based duty to keep them safe every single minute of every single day. Kids constantly do goofy stuff, and accidents are sometimes impossible to prevent. But, the easiest way to try to do so is to care and pay attention. Please folks, this is one more call we don't ever want to get.
