3 Teens Seriously Injured in ATV Crash

At about 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 21st, three teens were seriously injured when the 13-year-old female driver of an ATV traveling at a high rate of speed in the 3900 block of Cedar Hill Lane in central Harris County ran over a dog and then crashed into a mailbox, causing the ATV to roll over twice, tossing all three teenagers on the ATV off. None of them were wearing helmets and all three suffered serious head injuries. The victims were all taken by ambulance to an area hospital in undetermined condition. According to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies on the scene, the ATV should not have been operating on a public street. Deputies are presently determining which parents own the ATV, as a citation will be issued related to this incident.

ATVs are a lot of fun, but they are very dangerous. According to the NTHSB, 135,000 people are injured in ATV wrecks annually, with over 700 fatalities. Even worse, at least a third of those killed are children under the age of 16. If you or a loved one is ever injured in an ATV crash, please consider calling us. We have dealt with such tragedies for a very long time and we are very good at it.
