3 Injured in Mustang – Motorcycles Crash

At about 11:45 pm on Wednesday, August 28th, a single Ford Mustang sports coupe and 5 motorcycles were racing each other at a high rate of speed eastbound on Spring Cypress Road near Spring, in north Harris County. As they approached the intersection with Ella Blvd., the traffic light turned red and the motorcycles slowed and all stopped. However, the Mustang failed to slow down and slammed into three of the bikes before hitting a dirt pile and traffic light post. The drivers of each of the three hit motorcycles were all on the ground, but the Mustang’s driver not only didn’t come to their aid, he fled on foot. The victims were all transported to an area hospital in serious, but stable condition. Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are presently hunting for the Mustang’s driver and when he is apprehended, he will face several criminal charges. Anyone with knowledge of the Mustang driver’s whereabouts is requested to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or the Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s vehicular crime unit.
